EHS On Tap E171: What You Need to Know About Hurricane Preparedness

On episode 171 of EHS On Tap, Michael Kleeman, a member of the Scientific Advisory Council of the American Red Cross and head of the Disaster Cycle Sub-Council, discusses what businesses should know about hurricane preparedness.

Michael Kleeman is a technologist and strategist with more than 40 years’ experience helping Fortune 500 firms, non-profits, and startups globally overcome technical and business issues. He has held a variety of management and advisory roles, as a partner and senior advisor at the Boston Consulting Group, founder and advisor at over a dozen communications firm, and as a senior advisor at Business for Social Responsibility. Kleeman is currently a senior fellow at the University of California San Diego where he focuses on disaster preparedness and response and has advised the California Seismic Safety Commission, The Office of Emergency Services and the California Earthquake Authority. He serves as the Chairperson of the Disaster Cycle Services Sub-Council of the Scientific Advisory Council of the American Red Cross, where he is also a volunteer and on the Board of the Thriving Earth Exchange of the American Geophysical Union.
